“Niche products
designed to deliver
excellent returns”
BCG Alternatives operate in the Alternative Investment arena and is directed by a highly qualified and experienced management team. The key individuals were carefully selected from within the existing BCG team and positioned alongside others from across the international financial services industry. Their diverse and complimenting skill sets allows BCGA to focus on bringing innovative, best of breed investments to its global client base.
Alternative products need to be especially robust at outset and able to weather many different types of market stresses that they will likely encounter during their existence. Our status as an independent intermediary, means that we represent our client to the best of our ability and ensure that the tripartite arrangement which exists between the product manufacturer, ourselves as intermediary and investors, is fair and equitable and that no bias or advantage is afforded to any of the parties. With reputations and significant amounts of money at stake, it is of vital importance that each product delivers what is expected and does so with the minimum amount of fuss or delay.
Every product being considered is firstly scrutinised by BCGA’s Investment Committee, who if satisfied with the initial findings, apply a much deeper and rigorous set of forensic questions and diligence tests. Those that successfully come through the layers of testing receive a final sign off from the Investment Committee and are endorsed as having passed due diligence. They are then added to an approved list of products, each with its own niche offering, designed to stand the tests of time. It is only then that BCGA representatives are able to promote these niche products to end user investors, via a network of qualified agents.
Product innovation and the birth of new asset classes means that the Alternatives space will continue to attract innovative themes, making it a crowded and competitive arena. We are witnessing an ongoing evolution which has already driven investor expectations higher, and contributed to overall improvements and universally raised standards. The next part of the development cycle will see regulation and investor protection become more commonplace within this exciting and vibrant sector.
